While the Atlantic Coast Line was the major railroad in the Florence area Seaboard Air Line also served the area. This station was used until the merger with the ACL when all passenger traffic was moved to the larger ACL station a few blocks away. At that time the SAL track were rerouted into the ACL yards. The station sets in also pristine condition in almost the same shape as when it was last used inside and out.
This station was constructed in 1904.
