Clemson Station Renovations
The Old Southern Station at Clemson, SC was recently restored by the City of Clemson. This station which is currently a flag stop for Amtrak's Crescent has served as
a full service station w/ REA, Clemson's City Hall, and will soon house the Clemson CVB. This page will
attempt to document the progress.
Renovations include demolition of the entire interior of the old baggage areas which had previously
been gutted for the city hall. Also the station will be moved 20 feet from the tracks and rebuilt. The
original wood siding which had been covered over in the past will be restored. A Southern RR museum
will also be constructed inside this station.
