Myrtle Beach, SC
Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Depot (c. 1937)

The above is one of the old Myrtle Beach Stations
There is alot of excitement over this old Atlantic Coast Line passenger station. The City of Myrtle Beach recently took ownership of this station and has restored the structure. In addition the Carolina Southern railroad is in the process of reactivating the railroad tracks to the station after many years of neglect.
The depot in the below photos was built in 1937 and it the third depot for the City of Myrtle Beach. The ribbon cutting of the depot occured in May of 2004. For more info and how to help please visit Myrtle Beach's Restoration site
Thanks to Kelly Mezzapelle, Downtown Redevelopment Coordinator for the City of Myrtle Beach for the information.
