ACL/SCL/former Amtrak Station, North Charleston
This is the former ACL later SCL Station in North Charleston. The depot was built by the Atlantic Coast Line in 1955/1956 as a permant replaement to the Union Station that burned downtown in 1947. The first floor served as the passenger station and the second floor once served as the Freight Office for the Charleston Division. The second floor was closed when the Charleston Division became part of the Florence division of CSXT. The first floor served as a passenger station for Amtrak until 2019 when the new Amtrak station opened next door. This depot was demolished in 2019 soon after the new depot opened.
